Every year, Capistrano Valley High School is proud to participate in the California Educational Theater Association High School Festival. This year the festival was held over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in Fullerton, CA. The students who earn an invitation must be involved in drama in a number of ways; either on the Drama Board, in the Fall or Winter play, on the Comedy Sportz team, or in the Advanced Drama class. We watched 4 award winning High School plays, participated in 3 professionally taught acting/theater/stage combat/technical theater workshops, and had A LOT of fun. The following students were granted awards for honorable mention in the fall play Black Comedy:
Sean Durand for his role of Brindsely Miller
Emily Johnson for her role of Miss Furnival
Saeed Marandi for his role of Colonel Melkett
Forrest Lucero for his role of Harold Gorringe
We had a blast, and can't wait to go back to the festival next year!!!
